In 1999, I composed a new musical setting (melody) for The Lord’s Prayer for my church, St. Bartholomew’s in Nashville, TN. The text is a contemporary translation created in 1975 by the ecumenical International Consultation on English Texts. Since 2001, it has been used regularly in the chapel services at The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. Churches and schools continue to add this setting to their repertoire.
